EIG France Sport Expertise was delighted to meet up with Rémy Rioux, CEO of Agence Française de Développement (AFD), to discuss his vision and experience of the sports industry and its relationship with sustainable development for the sixth session of Prolongations.
The latest edition of Prolongations was a great opportunity to speak to members of the EIG and a panel of decision-makers from France’s sport economy, journalists, representatives from our institutes, sports federations and delegations from abroad (Belgium, United States).
The meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss how French sports businesses can contribute to AFD’s sustainable development policy, their objectives and expectations during funding campaigns, and the importance of major international sports events in the countries where AFD operates, such as the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games set to be held in 2026.
A huge thank you to Rémy Rioux for taking part alongside our president Claude Revel.
Thank you in particular to our partner Viparis, who hosted us at the Palais des Congrès and Nicolas Bianco for his help organizing the event.
