A delegation of France Sport Expertise members attended the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships yesterday in Courchevel and Méribel to share best practices with the organizing committees for future competitions.
It was a pleasure to meet the teams for Saalbach 2024, Crans Montana 2027, Andorra 2029 and Valgardena 2029, as well as Sandra Spitz’ FIS team. Major international sports events require skills in event management, logistics, transport and accommodation operations, catering, security and ticketing – aspects where progress can only be made by sharing expertise.
A huge thank you to the French team:
To Business France (Export) – Selma Chamy Marie-Cécile Tardieu for organizing the event with us;
To the inter-ministerial delegation for major sports events To the interministerial delegation for the 2024 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (DIJOP), Patricia Delesque for the general organization of the French delegation.
To Samuel Ducroquet for his first trip as ambassador for #sport supporting the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
To Ministerial Delegate Cédric Roussel for the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.
And, last but not least, to the organizing committee for hosting us on site! Perrine Pelen, Céline Prevost, Courchevel Méribel 2023 – Organizing Committee for the Alpine World Ski Championships.
We are extremely grateful to be able to count on the expertise and commitment of leading professionals to ensure we put our best foot forward.
It was also a great opportunity to show our support for Alexis Pinturault, who won an impressive gold medal at the Men’s Super-G competition.
The economic legacy of major international sports events is a challenge for us to meet together at every step!
