Paris Marathon

Paris Marathon

Held every year since 1976, the Paris Marathon is a major international sports events in the world of athletics and an excellent example of the success of France’s sporting events.

For the 2024 edition, the 48th in its history, more than 3,000 volunteers will work throughout the duration of the competition. 50,000 runners have signed up, 67% men and 27% women. More than 135 nations will be represented (most British, American or German) on the 26.2 miles of the race.

In financial terms, organizational costs for Amaury Sport Organisation totalled over €6M but should bring returns as high as €50M, notably thanks to ticket sales (over €4M) and sponsorship deals.

The Paris Marathon is a leading example of a well-organized annual international sports events where businesses can demonstrate their expertise to the world.
